Sheep2


This another quick interpretation of the sheep at Bucks Harbor..The real painting is more colorful.

These two painting of the same subject matter are really quite interesting. How sharp and distinct the house is in one yet the sheep and grass are softened. It makes me feel as if I’m walking there.

The other picture is more rustic, less distinct but more intense. The changes you have made to the windows gives the house an older primitive appearance that makes me think of hard working peasants and their simple life.

I love your work and thank you for sharing it. Plus your blog about how you paint is wonderful to read. I love artwork like this but don’t have the talent to produce my own. :)
