This is from a picture taken 3 years ago in Down East Maine. It was a sunny summer day. Some grass was green, and some has turned into hay. I printed the photo in black and white so I could achieve good tonal values. I tried to be impulsive and creative with my color application.

It seems a cloudy day and the bit of lightness around the cow gives the warmth of the sun.
The cow is adorable and I can imagine someone is walking towards it to lead it home because the cow seems focused on something before it.
The various greens are so calming I want to get a book and lie under one of those trees. :)
